Mobula is student-run and student-funded, out of NTNU in Trondheim. Emitters, driver electronics, thrusters, cells, the hull itself and the water time to test it are all paid for by partners who want their name attached to real engineering, and in front of the engineers doing it.

These are starting points, not a menu we are rigid about. If your company works better with a component budget, a materials agreement or a deal tied to one subsystem, we will happily write it that way.

All amounts are eks. mva. Dialga is not yet MVA-registered, so invoices are currently issued without MVA. Sponsorship is a deductible marketing cost for your company, not a donation.
Mobula's 532 nm emitters and their megahertz driver circuit are being designed and built in-house, because no commercial part does this at the wavelength and rate the mission needs. Backing Mobula puts your name on genuinely novel hardware, not a kit assembly.
The same students design the mechanics, lay out the boards, write the firmware and tune the controllers, then graduate out of NTNU, Norway's largest engineering university. Partners get first look at them.
A faceted hull that planes and then dives, with a quadcopter living inside it, gets looked at. Your logo runs on the hull and through every photo, video and technical write-up we publish.
A welded aluminium hull, pressure, saltwater, vibration and an optical path through a moving water surface push components well past datasheet-comfortable. Send us your parts and we will run them hard and tell you exactly what happened.
A pallet of the right material, a pressure test or an afternoon of machine time can be worth more to us than the equivalent in cash, and it earns the same recognition as a sponsorship at that value.
Aluminium plate and bar, welding consumables, thrusters, cells, sensors, optics.
Aluminium welding, plate cutting and forming, machining, 3D printing, pressure testing.
PCB manufacture and assembly, connectors, scopes and test gear.
CAD, CFD and simulation licences, compute credit.
Workshop, storage, tank or dry-dock access in the Trondheim area.
Design reviews, mentorship, an afternoon with your engineers.
Sponsorship goes into hardware, fabrication and getting the vessel to water. The categories below are where the budget actually sits.
Mobula is a project of Dialga, which is registered as a Norwegian aksjeselskap. That means we can invoice you properly and your finance department can process it like any other supplier. It does notmean anyone can take money out.
The vedtekter prohibit the distribution of dividends and specify that on dissolution any net assets pass to a similar student engineering purpose. Sponsorship cannot become anyone's private income, and because Dialga is an AS, both the vedtekter and the annual accounts are filed publicly at Brønnøysund, so you do not have to take our word for it.
We are looking for Mobula's founding partners. Send one line about your company and we will come back with the full sponsor deck, the current build status and exactly what we would do with the support.
